The oncontextmenu event occurs when the user clicks the right mouse button in the client area.
This example demonstrates use of the event to cancel its default action, though the event is typically used to trigger a function that will show a custom menu instead.
Right-click anywhere in the client area. In Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 5 and later, the oncontextmenu event is cancelled and the context menu is not opened.
