The Platzl Hotel in Munich is a gabled five floor hotel located in downtown Munich, just 100 metres from Maximilian Street, known as the shopping mile.
There are 166 guestrooms, which have traditional, ornate décor with wood panelling or large wooden headboards and rich fabrics. All have bathrooms with bathrobes and slippers, toiletries and hair dryers, direct dial phones with voicemail, cable television, minibars and dial up Internet connections.
Double guestrooms are available with views over the famous HofbrΣuhaus or the hotel's internal courtyard.
At the Platzl Hotel, the Pfistermⁿhle restaurant is open from Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, and serves fine Bavarian dishes and Ayinger draught beer in the restored vaults of the 1573 Ducal Mill. The beer garden is open in the summer months.

The hotel will be carrying out extensive room renovation works in 2007.
The second half of all the guestrooms will be renovated between January and April 2007. Work will be carried out floor by floor and will use soundproofed walls as well as dust protection.
