Location. Seven Gables Inn is located in the Clayton business district of St. Louis, Mo. One mile from the hotel is the St. Louis Zoo, Forest Park and Galleria shopping. Downtown St. Louis is 10 miles away. Hotel Features. The Tudor style hotel features pitched roofs and wood paneling along the exterior and within the ivy covered courtyard.

The hotel provides complimentary breakfasts and serves soups, salads and sandwiches in the Seven Gables Restaurant and cocktail lounge area. Complimentary wine and cheese receptions are offered. The hotel features jazz music Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Business services and complimentary wireless Internet access are available throughout the smoke free property.

Guestrooms. The 32 smoke free suites at the Seven Gables Inn model old world stucco walls, parquet floors and imported country French antiques. The sleigh style and brass beds are offset by overstuffed chairs or sofas and French oil paintings in each room. Beds feature layered sheets and down blankets. A dynamic workspace is also prominent. All rooms come equipped with flat screen televisions and complimentary wireless Internet access. Bath areas, many with French doors, are stocked with Aveda products and bathrobes. This inn is proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1926, the hotel was designed to echo England's Tudor architecture. Its name was derived from Hawthorne's novel, The House of the Seven Gables.
