El Cortez Hotel and Casino is located in a pre Strip 1940s building once owned by mobster Bugsy Siegal in Las Vegas, Nev. The hotel is one block from Neonopolis and two blocks from Fremont Street Experience. The Las Vegas Strip is two miles away.

El Cortez Hotel and Casino contains six dining venues including 24-hour Careful Kitty's Café. Careful Kitty's Café, serving sandwiches, burgers, and steaks, features two person semi circular booths furnished in dark blue faux leather. Roberta's Steakhouse, decorated with blonde wood booths and banquettes, serves prime rib, steaks, seafood and chicken.

El Cortez Hotel and Casino offers business services, meeting rooms and high speed or wireless Internet access for a fee. The hotel's 24-hour 40,000 square foot casino includes blackjack, craps, roulette and mini baccarat. Three card and video poker, slots, live keno, and a race and sports book are also offered.

El Cortez Hotel and Casino's 299 guestrooms are contained in one 14 story sand colored tower and pavilion. Victorian style rooms feature light colored woodwork, white crown molding and marble tabletops. Contemporary style rooms feature dark woodwork and dressers with curved faces. Dressing areas and separate sitting areas with loveseats, wing chairs and coffee tables are included. Select bathrooms include spa tubs.
