Returns or sets the character used to separate nodes in a SiteMapPath control.

Syntax


Inline <asp:sitemappath pathseparator = char ... >
Script SiteMapPath.PathSeparator [ = char ]

Property Value


char A string used to separate the nodes in a navigation path.

The property is read/write with a default value of " > ".

Remarks

Use the PathSeparator property to specify the characters used to separate the navigation nodes in a SiteMapPath control.

By default, the SiteMapPath renders a character pointing from left to right, and corresponds to the default PathDirection, which is set to RootToCurrent.

To control the style of the PathSeparator, use the PathSeparatorStyle property.

NOTE: If a PathSeparatorTemplate property is defined, both the PathSeparator and PathSeparatorStyle properties are ignored.
